WHY AGRICULTURE?
Agricultural farmland has a long history of value growth. As world population grows, there is increasing demand to feed the world's growing population. Investment in farmland has historically been an effective hedge against inflation, has had low volatility compared to other asset classes, and has low correlation with other traditional investments. All of this gives investment in agricultural farmland a favorable risk return profile.
WHY CALIFORNIA?

Due to geography, weather, and soil characteristics, California is a dominant global producer of many permanent crops. (e.g., almonds, wanlnuts, pistachios, etc.) and dairy products. California is close to the growth markets of Asia where a growing middle class is driving demand for many of California's agricultural production. As this demand increases, the amount of arable land in California is decreasing, creating a favorable supply/demand environment.
